What are you passionate about? What are the ideas that drive you?
I am passionate about doing purpose-driven work. In the early days of my career, I had the opportunity to work on energy projects, and I loved finding simple ways to save money while helping clients conserve energy at the same time. I believe everyone in the world should be working on clean energy right now, in some form or fashion. EMI has given me the opportunity to lead in this dynamic industry, and to set a tone for the firm that focuses on playing to people’s strengths, bringing our authentic selves to work, and learning together along the way. It’s incredibly rewarding and humbling to lead such an amazing team of people.
When do you have the most fun at work?
EMI has great everyday moments, from monthly bagel breakfasts to the Friday afternoon playlist. It is fun to see everyone’s creativity come to life. We work hard together, and we enjoy some good fun as well.
How do you spend your time when you’re not working?
My husband and I are raising two teenage boys who are passionate jazz musicians. As a result, we have finely honed skills as their roadies, carting instruments and gear all over the state of Washington. Occasionally, our boys invite us into a family jam session, which is great fun for everyone except maybe our neighbors. I also love to travel, cook, drink coffee, play cards, and carry on with friends.
